2 Legal bases
We process personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in particular to perform a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) and on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
3 Hosting and server logs
This website and the API are operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, on servers located in Germany. When you access them, technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer and browser information are stored in log files. This serves secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
4 Sign-up and free trial
For the 7-day trial we process your name, business email address and company name to provide your account and API key (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). No payment data is collected for the trial. When the trial ends, the account is deactivated unless you choose a paid plan.
5 Files submitted via the API
Files you send to the API are processed solely to deliver the requested service (parsing, converting, validating). Processing takes place in memory only: files are not stored, not analysed for any other purpose and are discarded as soon as the result has been returned. Where files contain personal data, we act as processor; a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is available on request.

If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
7 Newsletter
Our newsletter uses a double opt-in process. We process your email address on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link.
8 Cookies and fonts
We only use technically necessary cookies (§ 25(2) TDDDG). We do not use tracking or marketing cookies. Fonts are served locally from our own server; no connection to third-party servers is made.
9 Retention
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods.
10 Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
11 Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the German state of your residence or of our registered office.
